Ilsi Medearis, DVM
Dr. Ilsi Medearis grew up in the San Francisco Bay area, and graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. She initially worked as an equine practitioner in Portola Valley, CA, and later worked as a staff veterinarian at the Peninsula Humane Society. Dr. Medearis returned to the Davis area in 1992 and began working at the Solano-Napa Pet Emergency Clinic as a full-time emergency veterinarian. She has remained at the emergency clinic, and currently serves as Chief Veterinarian. Dr. Medearis is a member of the Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society. Dr. Medearis has always had an interest in Chinese Medicine and philosophy, and became certified as a mixed animal veterinary acupuncturist through the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine in Florida. She has continued to pursue extensive acupuncture training as well as training in Herbology through the Chi Institute. Her passion is to promote more wide-spread, effective integration of Eastern and Western medical practices in veterinary medicine. Dr. Medearis is an avid equestrian and enjoys riding with her husband, Dr. Clare Gregory, and their equestrian partners, Timon and Indilove Chatelet.
